Blakesley continues tour of schools

Ottawa, Kan., offensive lineman Caleb Blakesley continued his tour around the region on the recruiting process.
“I did go up to Kansas State over the weekend,” the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Blakesley said. “It went very well. They took us on a tour of the campus and the facilities. It was the first time I’d ever been to Manhattan.”

Blakesley already had been to the Missouri and Kansas junior days.
“I had a good time at the first two I had been to,” he said. “I learned quite a bit and saw some things I hadn’t seen there before. They were good trips.”
Blakesley, an all-area selection as a junior, has yet to receive an offer.
“I don’t have any scholarship offers yet,” he said. “Some schools have talked like they will, but none have yet.
“I am looking the most at Kansas and Kansas State. I’ve looked at Missouri some, but I don’t know how interested I am. You always have to keep your options open, because you don’t know what may happen.”
Blakesley does plan on taking in two area camps.
“I’m going to go to K-State’s for a couple days and KU’s for a couple days. I’ll try and split them up and hit them both. They are both the same week, so I’ll have to find a way to make the best of that.”
