Blackmon sits at five, waits for more

Wide receiver Chance Blackmon has had quite the recruiting process before the first snap of spring football. He's already collected five scholarship offers and could be close to more.
Blackmon, the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder, follows in the footsteps of heavily recruited prospects from the East Texas schools like last year's duo of Lennon Creer and Darnius Moore. Regardless, Blackmon is spacing things out and taking his time with a hefty track schedule going on.

He's still listening to which schools may be close to joining the offer mix.
"Texas A&M, they're trying to get me to come down there but I just couldn't make it for their spring game," Blackmon said. "Track has kept me busy. LSU and Florida have also sent me letters and stuff about their spring games in the past. I just haven't had the time to make it down there yet either."
Blackmon says that he was also planning to attend the NIKE Training Camp in Fort Worth, Texas later this month, but the regional track meet will keep him tied up for that.
This summer, when his schedule calms down, he plans to take in a few camps and check things out.
So who's recruiting Blackmon the hardest?
"Minnesota started sending a lot of stuff just the other day," Blackmon said. "I'd say though it's really Colorado, Colorado State, and Oklahoma State who send the most."
Blackmon had 33 catches for 850 yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior.
