Black continues to wait

Houston (Texas) Cypress Falls defensive tackle Jerrod Black is rising up the charts, but he still is waiting on a few schools to firm up their plans on a scholarship offer.
Holding offers from Arizona, Houston, Iowa State, and Missouri, the 6-foot-2, 270-pounder is still waiting on Texas and Texas A&M to say whether or not they'll be extending one as well. Black doesn't intend to wait very long to decide.

"I spoke with coach Jim Bob Helduser last week and they said that before they offer me, they're looking at two defensive ends since the need is big there," Black said. "I know one of them is Von Miller and I forgot the other's name.
"I'm supposed to be getting an offer soon. They just said they were going to need some time."
Black says that along with the Aggies, he's been in touch with Arizona, Missouri, Texas, and Tennessee.
"I was trying to commit before the summer ended," Black said. "If that doesn't happen, I'm going to play my season and see what comes out of it. Maybe if something big comes after the first few games, I could decide in the middle of the season.
"At the same time, I have been looking to commit somewhere soon."
