New Castle, Pa. defensive end Allen Billyk visited with coaches from both of his favorite schools the last two nights. He committed to one of them Thursday evening.
"I committed to Virginia," said the 6-foot-4, 260-pounder. "Coach Rocco is here right now and I told him I was coming. I just felt so comfortable with the coaches at Virginia and they were my favorite for the longest time."
Billyk, who had offers from Big Ten powers Michigan and Michigan State, chose the Cavaliers over Boston College.
"The BC coaches were here last night and I liked them a lot and the program," he said. "But I've liked Virginia a lot longer and when I speak to coach Rocco and coach Groh I feel like I know them. I also didn't want to pass up the chance to get a great education and play for a team that could win the ACC soon."
