Big year sees Caisons interest rise

Tight end Damien Caison out of Front Royal (Va.) Warren County has put together a huge senior season. The 6-foot-2, 234-pounder continues to hold three scholarships and has interest from others.
"I led my team to our first ever playoff berth and we won our first round game on Friday," he said. "I've done well this year. I earned first team all-district at tight end and was athlete of the year in the district.

"I had 400-yards rushing on 42 carries and nine touchdowns. I also posted 44 catches for 534-yards and 12 touchdowns."
Caison took one unofficial visit this past weekend to Virginia and is eyeing a trip to Virginia Tech for the Virginia game.
"If we're not playing in the playoffs I think I'm going to that game."
What are those schools saying?
"Virginia said they are impressed with my numbers this year and that they want me to be on their team, but they'll talk more with me about it later," he said. "Virginia Tech came by my school two weeks ago and watched my highlight tape. They told my coach they definitely liked what they saw and want me to come to Blacksburg to check it out. They said they'd be back to my high school in a couple more weeks."
One other school is still in the picture as well.
"I am thinking about a visit to Stanford sometime soon," he said. "They are showing the most interest out of the schools that haven't offered me yet. The way they talk, an offer may be coming very soon."
Caison holds offers at this time from Richmond, VMI and Old Dominion.
