Big WR will draw looks

If it seems like every other article about a 2006 prospect in Florida is about some big skill player, that's because it might just be true. Yet another big bodied wide receiver has popped up in the form of Hollywood (Fla.) Hollywood Hills wide receiver James Wilson.
"Right now I am hearing from Michigan and Ohio State a lot by mail," Wilson said. "Duke has been calling my coach about me and stuff too. I am hoping that after the NIKE next month a lot more schools will start mailing me and stuff, but right now my name is just now getting out because not many people really have a highlight tape or anything yet."
The 6-foot-4, 199-pound Wilson attended the NIKE combine in Miami in early February where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.63 seconds and had a 28-inch vertical jump.
"I played wide receiver mostly last year, but I also played defensive end for one game," Wilson said. "I made five sacks and three tackles. Some people actually see me as a defensive player in college, but a lot think offense too. I used to go to Norland through my sophomore year and coach Dunn told me that I was a mix between Dwayne Bowe at LSU and Andre Johnson, who played at Miami. I would be open to playing another position if I needed to."
James has a 245-pound bench press and will make a return trip to the NIKE camp on April 10 at the University of Miami.
"Right now off the top of my head some of the schools I'm looking at are LSU, Florida, Miami, Florida State, Tennessee, Michigan and Ohio State," Wilson said. "I am pretty much open to anyone that is recruiting me at this point."
