Big weekend visit for Cox

Chans Cox is taking an unofficial visit to Nebraska this weekend for its game against Ohio State and the 2013 outside linebacker said he cannot wait to see what Lincoln has to offer.
"I'm really looking forward to it," Cox said. "It's going to be awesome. I'm going to try to go out there and build a relationship with the coaches.

"The whole atmosphere is important. I'd like to meet with the players and see them play. I'm excited because they have all these sold-out games and definitely the relationship with the coaches is big."
Nebraska has been recruiting Cox since his freshman season so the Lakeside (Ariz.) Blue Ridge prospect is especially excited to finally meet some of the coaches and see if he could fit into the program.
There is little doubt in Cox's mind that he's going to enjoy the visit and so he's looking to see exactly what Nebraska is like, how the players interact and talking with the coaching staff is a big thing.
So far, Arizona, Arizona State and Duke have offered Cox, who's hearing from numerous top-level programs from across the country including the Huskers.
"They've been recruiting me since my freshman year," Cox said. "At the end of my freshman year I was getting letters and questionnaires from them and then after that it's gotten more intense.
"I've started to get more familiar with their program and I started e-mailing the coaches saying I wanted to come out."
This will be his first trip to Nebraska but it probably won't be his last. Cox said he would like to camp there next summer and is also strongly considering an official visit as well.
"They're definitely one of my top schools," Cox said.
