Big weekend for the Big 10

It’s a big weekend in the Big 10 Region. Michigan travels to Notre Dame. Washington State is at Ohio State in a game of two top 10 teams. And Penn State is at home against Nebraska.
With these big games comes a big recruiting weekend. Expect Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State to each host a fine group of recruits on unofficial visits.

A number of those prospects will be in attendance at the game. And the Irish are also hosting one of the country’s top defensive linemen on an official visit, Carl Pendleton (right)from Oklahoma.
Ohio State is expected to host their most impressive group of recruits thus far at this early point of the season.
And the Nittany Lions of Penn State would love to put on a great show in front of an impressive group of recruits, including two that will be on official visits. Jason Evans from Georgia has already committed to Penn State, and defensive back Ashton Youboty has an offer on the table from the Nittany Lions.
While very, very seldom does a prospect pick his college on the basis of one game, none-the-less there will be some great prospects at these games taking a close look.
A good showing could give the host school a little edge down the road. And certainly commitments can’t be ruled out even at this early point.
It should be an interesting weekend in the Big 10 Region not only on the field, but also on the recruiting front.
Don’t be surprised with a few big wins by the home teams that we come out of the weekend with some commitments.
