Big visits coming up for Cochran

Matt Cochran is looking forward to his Washington visit next weekend as the three-star center from Atwater (Calif.) Buhach tries to figure out which program is best for him over the next few months.
Washington, Cal and Auburn stand out the most to Cochran, a 6-foot-4, 340-pound prospect and Utah is sticking around as well. He has already visited Auburn and upcoming trips to Washington and Cal could be crucial in his decision-making process.

"It's going to be a great weekend at Washington," Cochran said. "I'm already familiar with the players and I'm glad I'll get to see them on game day.
"I want to see what the atmosphere is like and I want to see what the stadium is like. I'm cool with a lot of their players so it should be a good trip for me."
A visit to Cal is scheduled for Dec. 2 and then the three-star is planning a trip to Utah in January before making his decision. Cochran has visited with the Golden Bears numerous times so he's already familiar with the program.
"With (Cal) it's not even like me looking for anything anymore I'm just trying to compare because I have a pretty good idea with them," Cochran said.
"I just want to figure out which place I fit in the best. I'm very familiar with the coaches and I'm very familiar with the players because I've been over there so many times."
Cochran's trip to Auburn earlier this month went well and he said the Tigers will remain in contention as he takes his other visits. While it's far away from home, Cochran said he has family in the area so Auburn is still getting a serious look.
"It was a really good trip to Auburn," Cochran said. "It was good to see all the players and coaches together. I fit in pretty well out there. They're definitely still an option. It is far away from my house but I do have relatives out there so I would still have contact.
"As of right now I'm thinking most about Auburn, Cal and Washington, trying to wait it out and take those visits so I could make my decision. I still have Utah up there but that trip is far away so I'm giving those three schools my full attention right now."
Rivals.com rates Cochran as the third-best center in the 2012 class and No. 51 in the California state rankings.
