Big Virginia WR has an offer

Richmond (Va.) Varina wide receiver Bobby Smith already holds one Division I offer. Who's offered the 6-foot-5, 195-pounder and what other colleges are interested?
"I've got an offer from ECU," he said. "I got that in May. That's a school I'm definitely considering. I don't know too much about them, but it's a pretty good school."

A number of other colleges are looking at the Varina prospect.
"I'm hearing from Syracuse, JMU and Marshall," he said. "Basically all of them are waiting on my grades. I retook a class this summer which should make my GPA a lot better."
Does Smith like anybody?
"Syracuse sticks out," he stated. "I like the atmosphere after visiting last year. They are a nice school. I like JMU and Virginia Tech. I'm not hearing as much from them anymore."
In the meantime, the Richmond receiver is preparing for the season.
"We open up with George Washington Danville in a few weeks," he said. "I think we've got a young team and the offense is changing, it's going to be more of a spread offense.
"My goal is to get better and help my teammates get better. I'm really trying to improve on my speed. I want to get it down to a 4.5."
