Kazmeir Allen has been putting up incredible numbers during his senior season at Tulare (Calif.) Tulare Union and in the last few days he landed another major offer.

Wisconsin is the latest school to offer the three-star running back who has a good chance of moving up in the rankings later this recruiting cycle but there was one catch when the Badgers' offer came through.

At first, the Badgers wanted Allen at defensive back. But after more coaches watched Allen’s film, they were convinced he’d fit in at running back and that’s where Wisconsin offered.

“They wanted to offer me at cornerback at first but coach Jim (Leonhard) showed the running back coach and offensive coordinator my film and they just pulled the trigger,” Allen said.

It’s a big one for the Tulare Union standout who already has 2,546 yards and 53 touchdowns on 189 carries so far this season with the playoffs continuing this weekend.

Allen also has 25 receptions for 776 yards and nine scores in 11 victories. At running back, the three-star has averaged more than 13 yards per carry and more than 230 rushing yards per outing.

As for offers, Allen has landed them from Air Force, Arizona, Boise State, Cal, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah State and Wisconsin.

There’s no question the offer from the Badgers is definitely big - and Allen is planning a visit to Madison for the Michigan game.

“I plan on going next week,” Allen said.
