Big-time programs interested in junior DE

Decatur (Ill.) Saint Teresa junior defensive end Marquis Singleton is drawing interest from a number of outstanding college football programs.
"I get mail from Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and Notre Dame," Singleton said. "Those are some main ones."

The 6-foot-5 and 220-pound Singleton has been a varsity starter on both sides of the ball since his sophomore year. He has played defensive end, outside linebacker and tight end.
Singleton recorded 12 sacks his junior season. He was an all-conference and all-county selection. This very talented prospect also averages over 16 points per game in basketball.
However, Singleton will go the football route in college.
When asked to name schools he is interested in, Singleton said, "Illinois, Iowa, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State and Texas. I'd say Illinois is my favorite."
While the Illini nor any of the others have offered Singleton a scholarship yet, it will likely only be a matter of time until his first offer comes in.
