Big time hitter from Arizona

“If there is a better player in Arizona this season,” Camelback head coach Daryl Phillips. “I’d like to see him.” High praise indeed coming from a coach who has D-I prospects Thomas Huff, Ivan Clark and Ronald Phillips on his team. The Grand Canyon state also boasts Kyle Caldwell and Marcus Thomas.
Who is this player that Phillips holds in such high esteem? Let us introduce you to free safety/fullback Eric Anderson (6-2, 215, 4.5).

Anderson is a big time hitter and he can cover the field. “We don’t have a stat for being a hitter, but if we did Eric would be off the charts,” Phillips said.
Anderson was honored super all-state as a junior and he’s a two-time all-region selection.
Splitting time at the fullback position, Anderson rushed for 500 yards as a sophomore and 390 yards as a junior.
It is on the defensive side of the ball where Anderson gets most of his notoriety. He racked up 56 tackles and three picks as a junior. As a testimony for Anderson’s hitting ability, he also had six forced fumbles. What makes Anderson’s stats more impressive is he accomplished them in eight games.
Anderson is hearing from most of the Pac10, Big XII, Mountain West and WAC schools.
Arizona, ASU, Washington, WSU, Oregon State, Oregon and Colorado are recruiting Anderson aggressively.
Pac10Recruting will profile the other two D-I prospects from Camelback high school in the very near future.
