Big-time corner has 42 offers

Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze’s cornerback Kenny Scott. has college defensive coordinators licking their chops at the chance of landing him in February. So far the 6-foot-1 and 176 speed-demon has racked up an impressive 42 scholarship offers. Because of his speed and size, his mailbox is full and his phone will be ringing off the hook soon. FlaRecruiting.com recently caught up with him to find out the latest in his recruitment.
“I went to a lot of seven on seven passing tournaments, and one team camp (Georgia Tech) this summer,” Scott said. “My team went up to a passing tournament in Hoover, Alabama, and I had a chance to go up against Chad Jackson. He’s a great receiver. He’s not the fastest, but he uses his big-body to his advantage. That didn’t work against me because I have good size also. I limited him to no catches.”

Scott has over 40 scholarship offers now, and this summer he picked up ones from both Florida State and Florida.
He has narrowed his list down to ten schools including Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Louisiana State and Nebraska.
Scott has done a lot of research on teams by using the internet, and he has some ideas in mind on what he’s looking for in a school.
“I’m looking at some things like how I will fit in with the coaches, and depth,” Scott said. “Florida State isn’t that heavy at corner, and Georgia is pretty young. Some of their corners aren’t established yet.”
This fall Scott would like attend the Miami/Florida, Florida/Florida State, Miami/Florida, Tennessee/Georgia games.
“I want to visit two games officially so I can check out the atmosphere,” Scott said.
The Rivals.com four-star defensive back is in no hurry to make a decision. Look for him to decide around signing day.
