Saint Augustine (Fla.) safety/athlete Carlton Lewis already holds one scholarship offer from a BCS Conference program and is getting attention from several more.
"I have an offer from Illinois," he said. "Georgia Tech, Clemson and LSU are sending me text messages."
Dan Disch is recruiting the 6-foot-3, 190-pounder for the Fighting Illini.
"I hear they have a good program and they had a real good recruiting class this past season," Lewis said. "Coach Disch, he's real cool."
Lewis will make an unofficial visit to Illinois in July.
A pair of Atlantic Coast Conference programs also have made an impression on Lewis.
"Clemson is a nice school," he said. "They are on the rise, too. Georgia Tech seems to be on the rise as well."
Lewis projects as a safety in college, but could potentially play wide receiver at the next level.
Lewis had 22 total tackles, two interceptions and blocked a punt during the 2006 season.
