Big teams looking at Holmes

One of the top receivers at the B2G Elite 16 7v7 Tournament this past weekend was 2015 prospect Desean Holmes and he could be close to some major offers.
The Mission Hills (Calif.) Bishop Alemany star recently took an unofficial visit to USC with signee Steven Mitchell and the Trojans' coaching staff had really positive news for him.

"I went to USC last Wednesday and they said they could offer me really soon," Holmes said.
"I came down with Steven Mitchell and the coaches were like, 'Hey, Desean come here really fast we want to talk to you.' I got a mini-tour over there and they said, 'We're going to offer you soon so get ready.' They want me to be a Trojan."
USC is not the only powerhouse program to show interest in Holmes, who had multiple touchdown receptions on Saturday and was clearly one of the dominant receivers at the B2G event.
"Florida State sent me like six letters recently," Holmes said. "I got one from Arizona State, too. Those two have really been the main ones staying in touch.
"(Florida State) invited me to their spring game. They asked me to come out but it's too far right now. There is a lot of history with that program but I'm not too sure about that yet."
UCLA, Utah and Houston have already offered the 2015 standout and the Bruins have stayed the most active in recruiting him. The Alemany recruit said USC and Florida State are definitely piquing his interest at this point but UCLA is right there as well.
"UCLA has been sending me letters and asking me to come to their spring game and come watch their practice," Holmes said. "I haven't heard much from Utah and Houston yet."
