Big TE emerging at Don Bosco

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep is home to a tight end to watch for 2014. The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder is getting some early interest, but it's only a matter of time until it grows.
"I've been getting a couple schools looking at me, but no offers or anything," Don Bosco 2014 tight end Tom Sweeney said. "Rutgers, Boston College and Miami have talked a bit.

"They just said the normal stuff, they are interested in me. I haven't gotten on any visits yet though."
Sweeney is intrigued by all the early interest.
"I'm from Jersey, so I like Rutgers and Boston College along with Miami are fantastic schools, Boston College is very good education wise," he stated. "I liked Miami as a kid, but I'm not going to base my decision on something like that.
"As for Boston College, it's a great school and it's really close to New Jersey as well."
Visits are happening in only a matter of time, so what is Sweeney looking for?
"Well, I definitely want a school with a really good academic program is sports don't work out. I'll be set up for life," he said. "I want a tight knit family where everybody is really close. That's a great thing about being at Bosco."
A mid-major basketball recruit as well, Sweeney averaged eight points and five rebounds a game last year.
However, what sticks out about him on the gridiron?
"I'd say because of my basketball ability, I'm pretty athletic and can jump and catch. I also can block well too."
