Big season leads to big attention

Fort Scott (Kan.) Fort Scott C.C. safety Lucien Antoine is without a doubt one of the best players in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.
And if people doubt that, they can look at the stats he put up in his sophomore season.

"I had 112 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one sack and one blocked kick," he said.
Not bad for a player that's just learning how to play football at the highest level.
Antoine has only played football for three years now, but has quickly turned into one of the league's best defensive backs. A hard-nosed, hard-hitting safety, Antoine was all over the field this season and a big reason why Fort Scott become one of the best surprise stories of junior college football this season.
"I played well this season," he said. I got first-team all-conference. We accomplished a lot of things here, and I'm happy that I helped get this program to the level we got to this season."
When it comes to recruiting, Antoine is starting to become a wanted man.
"I've got an official visit set up with Louisville for Dec. 14," he said. "My coach told me that they didn't want to offer until after I visit. My top two are Arkansas and Louisville.
"I want to go to a school where I have an opportunity to play right away and make plays."
