Big season for junior WR

Junior wide receiver Jamal Custis of Philadelphia (Pa.) Neumann-Goretti is close to finishing up his season, and has impressed with his on-field performance. His first offer has come in, and at 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, he is sure to turn more heads.
Custis' first offer came in from UMass and he also took his first visit of the fall to Rutgers.
"It went great," he said. "I got to meet a few coaches and talk to them. I got a feel for what the Rutgers football program is all about. Their fan base and campus are also welcoming."

The junior receiver would like to take at least one more visit this fall.
"I plan on visiting Pitt sometime this year and I'm working on other visits," he said. "I'm getting serious interest from Boston College, West Virginia and Maryland. I've been getting some new mail everyday from some football programs."
With only his annual Thanksgiving game left on his schedule, Custis is already happy with his performance this fall.
"I got 1st team All-Catholic at wide receiver and 2nd team at safety," he said. "I improved on catching in traffic and route running."
To this point Custis has 29 receptions for 668 yards and 11 touchdowns. Averaging over 23 yards per reception, he already has a few goals in mind for the off-season.
"To get stronger, faster and try to get up to some more colleges, so that I can get to know more about them," he said. "I also want to come back for my senior year as a greater player."
