New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy defensive end Mikhail Marinovich is in the middle of three consecutive official visits. The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder has already been to Syracuse and Pittsburgh and will visit Miami this weekend.
"I took a visit to Pittsburgh last weekend and Syracuse the weekend before," he said. "Syracuse went really well. I like the coaches a lot there. The staff is great and their training program is amazing, the best I've seen."
Marinovich followed that up with a visit to Pittsburgh this past weekend.
"That trip went really well," he said. "The facilities there are amazing. There isn't anything bad I can say about it.
"Coach Wannstedt is a great coach and I'm really impressed with the facilities and the whole atmosphere. They showed me around town and the whole football situation."
The prep prospect discussed his visit with Coach Wannstedt a bit more in-depth.
"He's a straight up guy," he said. "He tells it how it is and is not one of those coaches that mess around and gives you bull."
Did either the Syracuse or Pittsburgh visit stick out?
"Both of them have nice facilities and good coaching staffs," he said. "I was impressed by both."
Marinovich may take his final official visit this weekend to Miami.
"I just want to go down there and see a different environment," he stated. "I've been in the east, I want to see a warmer climate. I know they have a tradition of pro prospects which is always good."
Marinovich plans to enroll wherever he decides in January.
