Big OT DeSouza looks into summer visits

It's been well over a month since Rivals last heard from massive 6-foot-7, 305-pound offensive tackle Pete DeSouza. The Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha prospect last held three offers. What is the latest with the lineman as the May evaluation period comes to a close?
"I've got the same offers, Maryland, Syracuse and Delaware," he said. "I've been talking to other schools, Virginia, West Virginia, Rutgers, Michigan State, Boston College, Duke and Cincinnati.

"I'm planning to go on some visits soon. I think I'm going to go up to see Delaware, Rutgers, West Virginia, Virginia, Syracuse and probably Maryland. Some of those will probably be one day camps."
While he hasn't visited many schools to date, one he has stopped through did impress.
"I've been impressed with Maryland because I've been there," he said. "I enjoy being around them, the coaches and staff. I haven't been to other campuses.
"I like Coach Friedgen and Coach Bratten. I think they are real. They are honest about what they think and their opinions."
As mentioned earlier, DeSouza plans to take more visits this summer. What would he like to see on the trips?
"Basically I'm going to see how I interact with the team and if I'm comfortable with the team," he said. "I want to feel wanted even if football is not an option. I want to be able to still be there."
