Big OL chooses Syracuse

One of the biggest offensive linemen in Pennsylvania is going to call Syracuse, N.Y. his home for the next 4-5 years.
"Ryan committed to Syracuse on June 6," said Harry Ehrie, the father of 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle Ryan Ehrie. "He visited Syracuse on June 4 and was offered on his visit. He liked the coaches, the campus and where he fits in their future plans."
Ehrie, who also had offers from Indiana and Rutgers, has the frame to play at 320 pounds and should be a tackle in the Syracuse offense. He Finished with the sixth highest number of bench press reps at the Nike Camp at PSU and has a bench max of 340 pounds.
Ehrie has been a two-way starter since his freshman year at Bethlehem (Pa.) Freedom. Ryan helped school to a 9-4 record last fall and a berth in the state playoffs.
