Big offer shakes things up for Trail

Only a couple of weeks ago four-star defensive end Lynden Trail had named his top ten schools with the University of Florida leading the way. However, it looks as though things are already going to be shaken up with that list due to a new offer that has the athletic defensive end very interested.
USC has added its name to Trails offer list and it is not a name that he is taking lightly. However, Trail almost overlooked the offer all together.

"I'm excited," Trail said on Thursday afternoon. "My mother handed me a letter that had USC on it and I thought it was just another update or something and I was about to just throw it into the pile with all of the other letters. Then I saw that it said congratulations and I looked closer and it said that I was being offered a full scholarship to USC."
Though USC had been recruiting Trail, the offer came as a relative surprise to the edge rusher. The new interest though shakes up his list of schools.
"I talked to coach Franklin but I didn't expect them to offer before the season started," he said. "You gotta look at USC. This shakes things up. If anything, I'll be re-releasing a top ten.
"I think overall USC is one of the top programs in the nation," he said. "To get the offer from USC is huge. Peter Carroll is the first thing that comes to mind, the great coach over there and overall USC is just USC, dominating."
Trail is so taken with the new offer that he has already penciled the Trojans in for one of his five official visits in the fall, though he doesn't plan on heading to the west coast before then.
"Definitely USC will be on my visit list," he said. "That's a little too far to go to camp but they will be an official visit. You can quote me on that."
Recently, Trail has been displaying his athleticism in track. He has high jumped 6 feet 8 inches and runs the 4x400 relay where he splits 49.4 seconds in his 6-foot-7 frame.
