Big offer for 2014 DE

Defensive end Andrew Trumbetti of Demarest, N.J. is quickly positioning himself as one of the top 2014 prospects from the Garden State. Trumbetti already has several offers, with his most recent coming from Notre Dame after a stop at their summer camp.
Trumbetti, 6-foot-5 and 249-pounds, attended camps at Rutgers and Notre Dame this summer. His most recent visit was a stop at South Bend.

"It was awesome," said Trumbetti. "Seeing the facilities and talking with the coaches was awesome."
Trumbetti attended the summer camp with the hopes of earning an offer and that was exactly what he was able to achieve.
"The camp went well," said Trumbetti. "They noticed me during the first practice. After the camp I went into Coach Kelly's office and they offered me there."
This offer for Trumbetti has been a long time coming.
"I dreamt about getting an offer from Notre Dame since I was a little kid," said Trumbetti, who added this offer to previous offers from Rutgers, Maryland, Boston College and Florida International.
With his summer camp schedule concluded, Trumbetti will now turn his focus on his upcoming junior season.
"Preparation is good and the whole team has been working hard," he said. "I just want to be bigger, stronger, faster and a more dominant player all the time. Our goal is to win a state championship."
During his sophomore season Trumbetti saw time at defensive end, defensive tackle, tight end and wide receiver. This coming fall he will concentrate his talents at defensive end and tight end.
