The Maryland Terrapins added yet another commitment last week, this one a big linebacker who will play the LEO position in College Park.
"Jeff committed to Maryland last Friday," said his father, Jeff Sr., of linebacker Jeff Clement from Westville (N.J.) Deptford. "He liked the campus and the staff when he was there and just felt it was a good fit."
Clement had offers from Penn State, North Carolina, Rutgers, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota and others, but liked the position he'd be playing at Maryland.
"He'll be a LEO linebacker, which he likes," said his father. "Jeff is 6-foot-2 and 231 pounds so he can rush the passer as a defensive end in some situations and is quick and big enough to drop back into coverage as well. Maryland was a great place when we went down there."
Clement also plays tight end in high school.
