Big interest for Jones

Jack Jones had a top five but is once again completely open to all programs. That's probably a good thing because more big offers could be coming soon.
The four-star from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly who has performed well at receiver and especially cornerback this spring said Texas A&M and Oregon might offer next and both would be huge as his recruitment continues.

"(Texas A&M) came out to practice and they like the way I practice, my competitiveness, and that offer coming would be big," Jones said. "It would be my first one from the SEC and the SEC is a hot topic in college football right now so if I get that it would be big. They would definitely jump to the top.
"The Ducks would definitely jump to the top (too). Growing up I didn't watch too much college football but I always liked Oregon because of their jerseys. If that comes in, growing up being an Oregon fan, that would be a big one."
One school that has already offered that Jones said he has a lot of interest in is Michigan. It could be the tradition. It could be the coaching. It could be a mixture of everything. While the four-star isn't ready to name any leaders, he definitely has his eye on the Wolverines.
A big reason is because of first-year coach Jim Harbaugh.
"He has experience," Jones said. "He knows what he's talking about. I feel like nobody is a better coach than him just what he did with the 49ers and it doesn't get any better than that."
The local schools remain in contention for many reasons. Jones said no teams near or far stand out more than the others but the Trojans and Bruins will remain in the mix.
"They will always stand high because they're local and I have former teammates that go there and that are going to play there," Jones said.
"Everything is open. Nothing is locked in."
