Big Florida OL picking up offers

It usually takes months to uncover every prospect that attends NIKE camps, particularly the Miami one, in which virtually every prospect attending is a Division I prospect. Naples, Fla. offensive guard Hector Hernandez is the newest member of this group.
"I have offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Temple, Eastern Kentucky and either Central Michigan or Western Michigan, but I can't remember which one, I always get them confused," Hernandez said. "Clemson and Florida International have called me in the past week."

The 6-foot-4.5, 256-pound Hernandez attended the Miami NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.43 seconds, the shuttle in 4.5 seconds, did 23 reps on the bench press and posted a 22-inch vertical jump.
"Oklahoma, Florida, Clemson, North Carolina, West Virginia and the schools that have offered are the ones that I am looking at," Hernandez said. "My brother is a wrestler at Oklahoma and I'm pretty familiar with that school and I wouldn't mind going there."
The Miami NIKE camp was the only camp that he attended over the summer. He says his family didn't have the money or means to travel to any team camps.
"I haven't really thought too much about what I'm looking for in a school," Hernandez said. "I don't want to go too far from home, I do know that. I want to get along with the coaching staff and I want to go to a school that is going to win and has some prestige."
