Big first visit for Poutasi

Cedrick Poutasi is excited for this weekend since the four-star offensive guard is heading to Arizona State for his first official visit.
The Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines standout said he cannot wait to get to Tempe because the Sun Devils are among his five favorite teams.

"I'm going to be taking an official to ASU next weekend and I'm excited to go because I really like ASU and they're playing USC so I'm excited to see how they get prepared for a big game like that," Poutasi said. "I'm really looking forward to it.
"I want to see the environment, the preparation and I also want to talk about the academics. I want to see how the players get their work done, how they assign tutors and everything like that."
Arizona State is one of the top five schools for Poutasi, who said UCLA and Utah are also high on his list.
Oregon has been one of his favorites but he postponed an official visit to Eugene a couple weeks ago and now said he's not sure if the Ducks are going to offer.
If they don't, Poutasi said he's fine with it because there are many other options to pursue but he is still definitely hoping Oregon gets more involved.
"I'm not sure right now with Oregon," Poutasi said.
"I haven't talked to any of the coaches yet about it. I'm pretty sure everything will work out with them. But if they don't offer I'm OK with it because I know wherever I go I'll be happy."
The trip to Arizona State is the only one expected during the season for Poutasi, a 6-foot-5, 322-pound prospect who's rated eighth at offensive guard, No. 219 in the 2012 class and second in the Nevada state rankings by Rivals.com.
"(Arizona State) will be in my top five for sure," Poutasi said.
Visits to Utah and UCLA are expected soon after his senior season. Arizona, Boise State, Fresno State, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico State, Oregon State, San Diego State, SMU, UNLV, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Washington and Washington State have also offered.
