Big first offers come for Armstead

The move from Los Angeles to Texas apparently is paying off for wide receiver Kevin Armstead.
Though there were many factors involved, the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder was looking for bigger exposure at the tradition-rich program of Humble (Texas) High School. Now, his first two scholarship offers have come and he's looking forward to seeing who else may enter the mix.

"Well, I've got Arizona and Michigan offers now," Armstead said. "I actually got those a couple of weeks ago. I've actually been talking with coach Eric Wolford for a while now. He seems like a good coach, and I like them a lot. I also like Michigan as well."
Armstead says he's also hearing from UCLA, Southern Cal, California, Boise State, and several others. Both of his two offers have caught his eye.
"I'm from California, so being closer there in Arizona would be great," Armstead said. "I'm looking really hard at Arizona. I do like Michigan and I know they have a good program, but I just don't know a lot about them yet."
Armstead says that he's planning on attending a camp at Arizona next week. However, an early decision isn't very likely to happen.
"No, not yet," he said. "I'm going to wait and commit after this football season."
