Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes cornerback T.J. Cowart has two offers including one from the MAC. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder is claiming a favorite right now, but believes a BCS school could make a move in the near future.
"Right now Old Dominion is the highest school for me," he said. "I talk to them every other week and it's an incredible school. The coaching staff is full of great people and it's right at home. I also have an offer from them; it's one of only two along with Ohio."
While the hometown school is leading, there is another college that is interested.
"I think Connecticut is very close to offering me, they just need some more film," he said. "Since recruiting picked up for my teammate, Randall Dunn, they've been looking hard at me.
"If they were to offer, that'd be very big. That would possibly change things."
The two-star prospect finished his season over the weekend in a playoff loss to Bethel.
"We finished the year 8-3," he said. "I've done well. I ran for about 600-yards and caught for 400. I also had four interceptions and about 60 tackles. I saw a lot of improvement in my game. I improved in coverage particularly in man to man."
