Big East offer for Pettway

Khalil Pettway is excited about his latest offer from West Virginia but he wants to temper it a little bit until he figures out exactly what's going on with the Mountaineers' coaching situation over time.
The Culver City, Calif., inside linebacker said he was excited to pick up his third offer from West Virginia on Tuesday and wants to see how things play out now that Dana Holgorsen has taken over as head coach earlier than originally expected.

"I actually just called them (Tuesday), my coach told me to call them, and they just offered me," Pettway said. "I'm supposed to talk to them more later on about the offer and everything.
"I know a lot about them but it's all about the coaching staff now because they just had that change so I'm interested in knowing more."
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound three-star prospect now has offers from West Virginia, North Carolina State and SMU and said Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Hawaii, Arkansas, Oregon State and San Diego State are getting more involved.
With offers from three different conferences and lots of interest from around the country, Pettway said he doesn't want to name any favorites yet. It's still a little too early to have a leader.
"I don't really have any standouts right now," Pettway said.
"I like them all so it's hard to say who's on top. I'm willing to go wherever. I'm just trying to get to college whether it's close to home or far away."
Pettway, a standout at the recent Stanford NIKE Camp, has camped at San Diego State but doesn't plan to work out anywhere else this summer. A regular at B2G Sports events, Pettway said he's getting focused for a big senior season.
