Big East offer comes for Brown
ORLANDO, Fla. - The first offer is in the books for one of the better running backs in the state of Florida. Royal Palm Beach prospect Zacchaeus Brown says the first offer has come from the Big East and he says more are likely to come very soon.
At 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Brown says he can do a lot of things such as break it outside or take the ball between the tackles. Though he admits he's not the fastest player in the country, he still gets the job done. That meant early offers and loads of early interest.

"West Virginia offered a couple of weeks ago," Brown said. "The coaches at my school and informed me of the news. I was happy and I like them because they're an up-and-coming program. I saw the Sugar Bowl and that was good man."
Brown has not just been hanging around his home town. He's been out and about on some visits including an in-state junior day.
"Yeah I went down to Miami which was really cool," Brown said. "We saw the NFL timing stuff and it was just a good experience. The coaches seemed really great."
His top three include West Virginia, Pittsburgh, and Georgia Tech. Brown says that when he found out about the rivalry between two of those schools, it made his recruiting process even more interesting.
"Yeah, I know that Pitt and West Virginia don't like each other too much, so I thought that was funny," Brown said. "I guess it makes things interesting."
Brown says that Pittsburgh has shown enough interest where they could be the next to offer. He's also receiving mail from Georgia, LSU, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Iowa, Maryland, and Florida State.
There will be no sort of early decision from Brown.
"Basically, I want to visit the schools that want to offer me or check me out," he said. "I also want to go to some spring games. I think my decision will be late because there is a lot of stuff that I want to take into consideration."
"Other than that, I just want to build up my leadership so I can be a leader at the next level."
