Big Commitment For UVA

The Virginia Cavaliers have received their third verbal commitment and it comes from one of their top targets.
"I committed to Virginia," said offensive tackle Marshall Ausberry from West Springfield, Va. "I wanted a school with good academics so I can get a reputable degree and staying close to home was a bonus."

Ausberry, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman, chose Virginia over offers from Virginia Tech and Marshall as well as interest from Maryland and Penn State.
"Virginia was the best place I visited," he said. "It's the kind of school I'd go to even if I wasn't playing football."
Ausberry, who needs to add upper body strength but is a powerful run blocker with excellent leg drive, was an all-conference performer as a junior and is the biggest lineman in Virginia this year. His stock rose after a breakout junior season and some impressive camps.
"I camped at Virginia and really felt comfortable there," he said. "It felt like home already."
Ausberry runs the 40-yard dash in 5.25 seconds and squats nearly 500 pounds. He is regarding as one of the fastest rising recruits in the Atlantic area.
