Big commit for Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights picked up a big commitment on Monday. A local defensive linemen decided that it was time to end the recruiting process and follow his heart.
Defensive end Andre Civil, a 6-foot-4, 239-pound prospect from Brooklyn (N.Y.) Sheepshead Bay turned down offers from Clemson, UConn, Georgia Tech and Syracuse, opting to play for the Scarlet Knights.
"Yes, I committed," Civil affirmed. "Mainly my mother and father like the presence of the school, being so close to home. The coaches played a big role in it too. Every guy on the staff is real and I can relate to them.

Georgia Tech was the first school to offer Civil back in July, and the offers have continued to flow in since then.
