Big Bruce talks MSU visit

Rivals250 offensive tackle Bruce Campbell out of New Haven (Conn.) Hyde Leadership took his third official visit of the season last weekend to Michigan State. What did the 6-foot-7, 272-pounder think of the Spartans?
"I liked my visit there a lot," he said. "The campus was a lot bigger than I thought and it was really nice. I got there on Friday and really didn't do that much. I just checked out the campus, saw the academics and chilled with some of the players. I was hosted by Ross Weaver. He's a cool and funny guy. I also got to spend some time with John L. Smith and that was good, he mostly told me how they'd use me which is as a defensive end. That's fine with me, it doesn't matter.

"The problem with the visit was that there really wasn't anyone there because they were on Christmas break, so I didn't get really get a feel for the campus, environment and population. I'd say that kind of hurt them."
Despite going there during break, the four-star prospect rated his trip to Michigan State an eight.
"I still had a good time. It's really hard to compare this visit with my ones to Virginia and Nebraska because they are all different, but I can say I do like all the coaches."
Campbell is scheduled to take his final official visit on January 13th to Maryland.
"I don't really know what to expect, I just hope to have a good time," he said. "I like their coaches including my recruiter, coach Sollazzo. He's a pretty good guy."
