FT. WORTH, Tx. -- The interest in 2019 four-star athlete Titus Swen has started to pick up more this spring, and he’s primed to be one of the more talked-about names in Texas football recruiting.

Swen turned in a top performance on Sunday at the Lone Star Prospects Showcase camp in Fort Worth. This past weekend, as well as at other major events this spring, he’s shown his prowess as a pass-catcher while looking like a back fit to lead a power-rushing offense.

This has prompted the likes of Arizona, Houston, and Texas to all begin the process of taking a closer look at him during his spring football practices. Kansas and SMU have both already offered, but likely need to start prioritizing their relationships with Swen.

IN HIS WORDS

On Texas, whose staff stopped by Eaton H.S. last Thursday

“They were just checking in,” he said. “The running backs coach is going to come back this week. (Texas) is going up. They’ve been producing running backs, I’m going to be looking more into that.”

On if he thinks there are any similarities between him and D'Onta Foreman

“I saw what he did last season,” he said. “But I copy my game after Adrian Peterson.”

On his initial opinion of Houston

“I might go visit sometime and see what it’s like,” he said. “My expectations would be just everything; see good education, good football.”

RIVALS REACTION

Swen doesn’t seem very anxious when it comes to the recruiting process, nor should he be. He’s certainly due to be one of the names in Texas that fans will see pick up offers in bunches before too long. Perhaps one of the teams that would be wise to take part in that is his hometown team, TCU.

“If (TCU) comes after me, that might be it,” he said. “I just love the Frogs.”
