Big 12 offers are first for Rhymes

Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall safety Kristophar Rhymes doesn't have to wait for his first scholarship offer any longer. Now, the flood gates have opened and interest is pouring in.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Houston prospect says that his first two offers have come in from Baylor and Texas Tech. Schools like Nebraska, UCLA, and Mississippi State are showing interest. One of those schools is at the top of his list.

"I'm kind of leaning towards Texas Tech right now because I've been following them since I was about eight or nine years old," Rhymes said. "I've just always liked them as a school."
Rhymes says that he hasn't thought about any other junior day visits coming up. He's also glad to be back in playing shape after tearing his ACL this past fall.
"It's doing a lot better now," Rhymes said. "I've already been running and everything."
So is he planning on making an early decision?
"No, I just want to wait a while," he said. "I'm not going to be committing anywhere, anytime soon."
