Big 12 offer next for Marshall

Make it two offers for rising defensive end prospect D.J. Marshall.
After receiving an early offer from Minnesota, Marshall has shown his stuff in spring practices at a new high school and also at the NIKE Training Camp at TCU several weeks ago. Now, his first Big 12 scholarship offer arrived earlier this week.

"I just got an offer from Iowa State on Monday," Marshall said. "I've been talking to the recruiting coordinator (Scott Fountain). I think they're a pretty good team on their way up. They're also in the Big 12, which I like, because they're going to play games around here."
This summer, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound defender, plans to hit the road for a few camps.
"I know I'll end up going to a few," Marshall said. "UCLA has been sending me stuff recently, so I'll probably go out there and then also to LSU and Oklahoma. Those are the ones that are sure. I'll probably go to West Virginia and Penn State for one-day camps too."
Before the second offer, Minnesota held the lead. Marshall says that they remain up there, but several other schools are high on his list as well.
"I think Minnesota is still at the top," Marshall said. "Iowa State is probably real close behind them though. Then it's probably Oklahoma, LSU, and Wisconsin."
