Manuel Allen is staying committed to Louisville but the four-star receiver will have a decision to make in the coming days.

The Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde standout said he will pick between Louisville and Illinois when he's playing at the Polynesian Bowl.

The Cardinals have been recruiting Allen the longest out of the two programs but Illinois has stepped it up in recent months to make things interesting leading up to his final choice.

Allen is still torn between the Illini and the Cardinals.

“Illinois has been on me tough as well as Louisville but Louisville has been here since the spring of my sophomore year,” Allen said.

Allen has been committed to USC and Nebraska throughout his recruitment so there is a chance that one more flip could be in the cards.

Louisville has done a solid job recruiting the Rancho Verde receiver but Illinois has also piqued his interest and his final commitment will be settled soon. In a week or so, Allen should be ready to announce his choice.

“Illinois came around this year but I love the coaches I’ve met from Illinois so far and I can’t wait to tell the world where I will be taking my talents to for the next three to four years,” Allen said.
