THE LATEST: Thomas has already taken an official visit to Minnesota and he has stayed in constant contact with the Minnesota coaching staff. The Golden Gophers currently sit at the top of his list with Louisiana Tech still in the mix. He has also received interest from Oklahoma State and Kansas since re-opening his recruiting process.
IN HIS WORDS: On what stands out about Minnesota: "Well whenever I took the visit it was just the city in general and how different things were compared to where I'm from. I'm from a small town and the big city I guess you could say it just attracted me."
More on Minnesota: "Whenever I went up there I really just liked everything about it, especially the academic side of it."
RIVALS' REACTION: The Golden Gophers kept Thomas constantly updated on the coaching situation, and he really enjoyed his official visit. He currently has plans to take an official visit to Louisiana Tech in January, but Minnesota is the leader.
