Bierria could receive more offers soon

Keishawn Bierria was one of the biggest surprises last weekend at the IMG Madden 7-on-7 West Regional in Redondo Beach, Calif., and soon his recruitment could pick up in a big way.
San Diego State has already offered the outside linebacker from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne and sometime next month the 6-foot-1, 210-pound recruit is expected to visit with the Aztecs.

Many other teams are also showing interest.
"San Diego State stays in constant contact with me on my e-mail," Bierria said. "They send me a lot of stuff about their camps. Other than the day the coach offered me I haven't talked to them on the phone though.
"Within the next month, a couple of my teammates and I are going down to San Diego State. It's a big deal to go down there and see the campus to see what they can offer me and I want to see what I can provide to their program."
Bierria, who finished with 75 tackles and two forced fumbles in his junior season, said he's hearing from Iowa State, Utah, Oregon, Oregon State and others. After his showing last weekend, more could get involved soon.
Because things are just starting to pick up for Bierria, who plays with the B2G Five-Star team, he said he wants to take things slowly to see if any other offers come in as the off-season continues.
"I'm not in any rush," Bierria said. "I'm willing to wait to see if any other schools get interested in me. I don't think I want to commit soon."
The exposure at Harbor City Narbonne can help Bierria as his high school career continues. Teammates Troy Williams, a four-star quarterback, and three-star receiver A.J. Richardson among others are also receiving serious recruiting attention.
