Bianchi lands an offer, talks visits

Defensive end Tom Bianchi out of North Caldwell (N.J.) West Essex picked up his first scholarship recently. The 6-foot-2, 231-pounder also took a number of unofficial visits in the past few weeks.
"I got an offer from Army," he said. "I've always been interested in the military and Army. I'll definitely consider it.

"I haven't been up there, but I plan on going up soon."
Earlier this spring, Bianchi made his way to a few schools.
"I visited Syracuse for a practice, Boston College for the spring game, Connecticut for their spring game and New Hampshire," he said. "I was really interested in what I saw at Boston College. I like the atmosphere there.
"The campus is really nice. I liked the football stadium and I even like the surrounding town of Boston. They told me to come to camp because they want to see more."
Currently Boston College is the only visit in the works at this time for Bianchi, although he confirmed he plans to head to more this summer.
The Garden State prospect posted 55 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior.
"We won state for the second year in a row," he said. "I definitely saw an improvement. I played mostly at tight end and defensive end. I may get looks for linebacker this year too."
