Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington cornerback Nigel Bethel II took a visit to the Lone Star State this past weekend. The four-star cornerback visited Texas Tech for their 33-7 romp over Texas State.
On Thursday night he helped his team to a 35-6 over city rival Miami (Fla.) Jackson. Bethel II snagged an interception and had a pass break up in the win. Since the game was on Thursday he was able to fly out on Friday morning to see what Lubbock had to offer pre-game.

He said he enjoyed the trip and it was different than what he is used to seeing. "It was a nice cool college town," remarked Bethel II. "The game was great. The crowd was amazing and the defense played very well."
The Miami commit isn't on the verge of reconsidering his pledge or anything.
"I saw how they play with shorter guys at the cornerback spot," noted Bethel II. "Coach Curtis is a cool dude, but I'm still committed to UM."
Is his friend trying to get him to flip? "Not at all," answered Bethel II. "I wouldn't flip if I wanted to because they don't have a track team and Miami is letting me run track."
The pesky cover corner will continue to take visits, but it appears like it will be tough to sway him from the Hurricanes at this point.
