The wide receiver position seems to be getting deeper and deeper every year out west attracting schools from across the nation in search of wide receiver talent. Here are five more players who are getting D-I recruiting action.Here to view this Link. (6-1, 180, 4.49) from El Dorado Hills (Calif.) Oak Ridge. Collie is seeing his stock sizzle as hot as summer. Collie is a physical wide receiver with good hands and is a good runner after the catch.
As a junior, he had 56 receptions for 870 yards and 13 touchdowns. He made first-team all-league and first-team all-city for his performance in 2002.
Collie now has 12 offers with Arizona State, Cal-Davis, Sacramento State and UNLV joining the list of Stanford, BYU, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona, and more.

Morton displayed playmaking capability as he had 61 receptions for 1,020 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 16.7 yards per catch his junior season. His on field exploits saw him selected all-state (second-team), all-state underclassman, Co-County MVP, all-CIF all divisions, all-CIF Division V, and all-league as a junior.
Morton like many on our list of wide receivers has the ability to play on other side of the ball on the collegiate level.
On the defensive side of the ball Morton racked up 52 tackles, six picks and two fumble recoveries as a junior. That is a lot of production around the ball for a cornerback.
UCLA, USC, Washington, Arizona State, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame are showing interest.
One of the best prospects in a very good year for football talent in the Grand Canyon State this season is is the record breaking John Peel (6-2, 185, 4.46) from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Chaparral.
Peel is rated by rivals as the 13 best wide receiver in the west.
Peel caught 59 passes for 937 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. He holds every receiving record for both career and season for his school after his junior season.
Chaparral has been in existence for over thirty years. In his varsity career, he has 90 receptions for 1,600 yards and 21 touchdowns. All are school records.
Peel is a clutch receiver who has speed to beat opponents deep, but can run routes and has the dependable hands of a possession wide receiver.
Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, UCLA and Colorado are on Peel’s short list.
Keenan Jones (6-0, 185, 4.4) from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne is what every coach wants in a wide receiver. Our number 14 rated wide receiver in the west has outstanding playmaking skills.
Jones had 27 receptions for 728 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged a whooping 27 yards per catch as a junior.
Jones runs precise routes and he has great work habits. He stays after practice to work on his routes and add that to his excellent hands and you the makings of an outstanding wide receiver prospect.
Jones will also get a look as a defensive back, too. On defense he racked up 76 tackles, three picks (one that he brought back for score), and two fumble recoveries.
At number 15 is Zach TarverClick San Diego State and San Jose State have offered. USC, UCLA and UNLV are also on his list. Jones is still wide open and he does not expect to make an early decision.Here to view this Link. (6-5, 180, 4.6) from Portland (Ore.) Jesuit. Tarver is another player on the west coast who is getting recruited for his skills in both football and hoops.
If the name Tarver sounds familiar to UCLA fans that because Zach is the younger brother of former Bruin standout guard Shon Tarver.
Shon isn’t the only Tarver to possess outstanding athletic ability. His younger brothers, Josh Tarver, a 6-3 rising junior, and Seth Tarver, a 6-4 rising sophomore also are on Jesuit's varsity basketball squad. His sister Taryn Tarver ran track at Oregon; and, Dad, John Tarver, was a running back in the NFL with New England and Philadelphia.
Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, Marquette, and Loyola Marymount are recruiting Tarver in basketball.
ASU, Oregon, Washington and Oregon State like Tarver for football.
