Best of Rivals Camp Series: Running backs

The Latest: Sanders remains committed to Penn State, but is also thinking about taking official visits to Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.
The Skinny: Sanders is absolutely electric in the open field. It's nearly impossible for any linebacker or safety to cover him one-on-one for more than a couple seconds. His speed and quickness out of breaks make him one of the top players in the country.

RB
Khalan Laborn
Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes (2017), RCS: Charlotte
The Latest: Laborn has an extensive offer sheet that includes Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Penn State, Auburn and many others.
The Skinny: The running back group at RCS: Charlotte could be considered the best out of any of the camps this year and Laborn blew away the competition. He was so fluid in his routes and made hard catches look very easy. There were multiple leaping catches Laborn made that many other running backs would not have been able to make.

RB
D'Andre Swift
Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph's (2017), RCS: New Jersey
The Latest: The latest additions to Swift's long offer sheet are Auburn, West Virginia, Michigan State, Arizona State, North Carolina and South Carolina.
The Skinny: The aptly named Swift has great explosiveness out of his breaks and linebackers were not able to keep up. There is a lot of suddenness to the way he runs his routes and it throws off a lot of defenders. Swift is a very reliable receiver and is effective on any route.
5
RB
Lorenzo Lingard
Orange City (Fla.) University High School (2018), Orlando Speed & Skill
The Latest: Just a freshman, Lingard already holds six offers, including invites from Florida, Florida State and Georgia.
The Skinny: Lingard has nice size and long arms that make him a nice weapon in the passing game as well as a threat carrying the ball. In Orlando, he won nearly every rep he took and showcased a devastating burst for a prospect of his size.
6
RB
Damarea Crockett
Little Rock (Ark.) Little Rock Christian, RCS: St. Louis
The Latest: Crockett has received scholarship offers from across the country, but Boise State and Arizona State lead the way.
The Skinny: Crockett has great size at 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds, and at RCS: St. Louis, he was the biggest offensive playmaker of the day. His quick feet and ability to change direction were the first things to jump out during drills. Then he took his performance to another level during 1-on-1 drills. There was not a linebacker who could cover him in St. Louis and he earned running back MVP honors.
7
RB
Kareem Walker
Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic, RCS: New Jersey
The Latest: Walker is committed to Ohio State.
The Skinny: Walker is a powerful, upright runner with good burst. He's a bruiser and did very well at RCS: New Jersey and looked better running his routes than he ever has.
8
RB
Cam Akers
Clinton, Miss. (2017), RCS: Dallas
The Latest: Akers is keeping his options open right now. Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee have been recruiting him the hardest, and he plans to camp this summer at Georgia, Florida State, Alabama and Mississippi State.
The Skinny: Akers is a stout running back and he proved he was an all-around playmaking threat as he took home Running Back MVP honors at RCS: Dallas. He has a stocky build and a quick burst, but his ability as a receiver out of the backfield is what really turned heads in Dallas.
9
RB
Zack Moss
Hallandale, Fla., RCS: Miami
The Latest: Moss is committed to Miami but has not ruled out the possibility of taking visits to other schools even though he has none scheduled at this time.
The Skinny: Moss has an impressive build and a hulking physique that allows him to run with tremendous power despite standing just 5-foot-9. He is sudden enough to give defenders pause. He showed himself to be a major threat catching the ball at RCS: Miami and won running back MVP honors.
10
RB
Melquise Stovall
Lancaster (Calif.) Paraclete, RCS: Las Vegas/RCS: Los Angeles
The Latest: Stovall is committed to USC.
The Skinny: Stovall was running back MVP at RCS: Las Vegas and had another strong performance at RCS: Los Angeles because he's not just a traditional running back. The four-star is most comfortable coming out of the backfield or lining up in the slot and then burning linebackers with his exceptional speed and excellent hands.
11
RB
Stephen Carr
Fontana (Calif.) Summit (2017), RCS: Los Angeles
The Latest: Carr is committed to USC.
The Skinny: Carr, a 2017 prospect, is a power back who can knock over would-be tacklers but in the camp setting he also showed the ability to run by linebackers in the vertical game. Nobody is going to jam him at the line, either, because Carr can shed that, make a move and be wide open for a deep pass.
12
RB
Darryl Turner
Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha, RCS: Richmond
The Latest: Turner is committed to Maryland.
The Skinny: Turner is one of the most explosive athletes in the country and could play on either side of the ball in college. It was impossible for any defender to guard him in the open field. Even though Turner is on the smaller side (5-9, 188), he packs a punch and was not affected by linebackers that tried to throw him off his routes.
13
RB
Cordarrian Richardson
Memphis (Tenn.) Trezevant (2017), RCS: St. Louis
The Latest: Richardson has spent the spring gathering offers from some of the country's top programs, including Alabama and Florida State.
The Skinny: Richardson burst onto the scene this spring when his junior film made the rounds and he more than lived up to the hype at RCS: St. Louis. The big-bodied back has a terrific build and a versatile set of skills that make him an ideal fit for any offense.
14
RB
Tyrek Tisdale
Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge, Orlando Speed & Skill
The Latest: Tisdale committed to Florida after visiting the Gators' campus on three occasions.
The Skinny: Tisdale may end up playing defensive back at Florida, but he shined as a running back in Orlando. Tisdale also took some reps as a wide receiver at camp and flashed the kind of versatility that makes him a viable college prospect at a number of positions. He has solid speed for a 6-foot, 200-pound prospect.
15
RB
Najee Harris
Antioch, Calif. (2017), RCS: Las Vegas
The Latest: Harris is committed to Alabama.
The Skinny: Comparisons with a bigger Todd Gurley or a slimmed-down Derrick Henry at the same stage are high praise for the 2017 prospect, but he can back it up. Harris covers ground so quickly and even though he needs to be more physical at times, the Alabama commit can separate from linebackers and he has really good hands.
