Berthelot still on the edge

St. Petersburg, Fla. safety Steve Berthelot has been on the verge of committing to Iowa State for quite sometime. Has he taken the plunge yet?
"Nothing has really changed yet," Berthelot said. "I have not committed yet, but Iowa State is still my big leader right now. I called them yesterday and left a message and told them that I want to take my official visit up there soon."

The 6-foot-0, 184-pound Berthelot runs the 40-yard dash in 4.64 seconds has a 33-inch vertical jump and a 4.5 second shuttle.
"I haven't gotten any calls so far yet, but I haven't been home a lot so I could've gotten some and just missed it," Berthelot said. "Basically all I am waiting on is to take my official visit to Iowa State before I commit. I just want to check everything out first."
Berthelot plays quarterback and safety for his high school team, but his college future is at defensive back.
"We're two games into the season right now, but I haven't played in the first two games because I had a sprained ankle," Berthelot said. "This week will be my first week back and I'm real excited about it, I'm hoping to have a real big year."
