Berry thinking about official visits

Lorain, Ohio, defensive end Rashod Berry is one of the highest ranked uncommitted prospects in the Midwest and he is ready to start scheduling official visits.
"I'll sit down after this game, get my five official visits set up, see colleges and make my choice after that," Berry said. "Iowa, I'll take an official visit there. That's the only school I know for sure I'll officially visit."

Iowa offered the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Berry last spring and are recruiting him as an outside linebacker. He has yet to visit Iowa City, but stays in contact with the Hawkeye's coaching staff.
"We talk probably once every two weeks," he said. "I just want to see the staff, the players, the academics, how they coach the players and see if it is a good program for me."
Since Sept. 1, when college coaches were able to start phoning recruits weekly and visiting high schools, Berry has heard consistently from several schools.
"I have been in contact with Syracuse," he said. "Indiana came out to see me and Michigan State. Probably Indiana I'll take an official visit to, but I'm not too sure yet."
Berry made his most recent unofficial visit to Michigan State in the summer, and has maintained contact with Spartan's assistant coach Jim Bollman.
"They came out and watched me practice and then they came to the game," Berry said. "Coach Bollman said he was going to come see this game on Friday. I feel the offer should be coming soon."
Berry is playing defensive end and slot receiver for a 1-1 Lorain team this fall. Through two games he has seven catches and one touchdown on offense and two sacks on defense.
