Berry taking officials, decision approaching

Junior college defensive back Destry Berry recently took his first official visit and over the next couple of weeks he has two more lined up.
Berry, who currently attends Orchard Park (N.Y.) Erie C.C., officially visited Buffalo this past weekend. The trip went well and the Bulls have positioned themselves well for the stretch run.

"I went on my official to UB last weekend," he recalled. "The education was really good and I really enjoyed talking with coach (Jeff) Quinn, coach (Ernest) Jones and coach (William) Inge."
As good as the trip was, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound cornerback told Rivals.com that he's not ready to list a favorite as he "doesn't have anything to compare it (the Buffalo visit) to" yet.
He will soon. Berry has two more official visits lined up.
"I'm going to New Mexico this weekend and Akron next weekend," he said.
New Mexico is the only school that has extended a written offer to Berry. Buffalo and Akron have verbally offered him but he does not have those offers in writing yet.
Berry said he plans on making his decision after his trip to Akron.
