Berry planning B1G visits

Lorain, Ohio three-star defensive end Rashod Berry made his first game visit of the season earlier this month to Michigan State. He has plans to see more Big Ten programs before the season is out.
"I am setting up official visits to Illinois and Iowa soon," Berry said. "I am going up to an Ohio State game this Saturday. They want me, actually, for tight end now. They like how I've been catching the ball."

Ohio State has not offered a scholarship to Berry yet, but he has made several visits to their campus including camp appearances.
Earlier this fall Berry said Iowa was looking at him for outside linebacker, but in his latest talks with assistant coach Jim Reid the discussion has been about defensive end.
"They want to get me in for a game in the season, but I have to call them, we're going to set up some dates and get down there," Berry said. "I have been talking to them every two weeks, probably. I've seen them playing hard and competing on the field."
Berry also plans to have a chat about visit dates with Illinois soon, and could make both an unofficial and official visit to Champaign before Signing Day.
"They want me for a game, and probably after the season do an official visit," Berry said. "I have to call them back and we're going to find some dates and get them all figured out. I play basketball too, so if it interferes with basketball I may have to try and work around it."
Minnesota is one of the schools Berry listed an offer from during the off-season, and he would like to reconnect with the Golden Gophers this fall.
"I'm not really in contact with this school, but Minnesota I really want to go down there and check it out," Berry said. "Just the way they play on the field and the way they care for each other, I just want to see what it's like."
Lorain High has a 4-3 record on the season. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Berry has been playing both wide receiver and defensive end as a senior.
