Berry makes quick decision for OSU

Ohio State was one of the first schools to recruit Lorain, Ohio defensive end Rashod Berry, and when they offered Tuesday night the three-star did not wait long to accept.
Berry made the call to the Ohio State coaches on Wednesday morning and gave them his commitment.

"It felt great," Berry remarked. "I'm just blessed and I love the place. I'm staying home and it's a great feeling."
Berry held a dozen offers when he made the commitment. He visited Ohio State Saturday for their home contest against Rutgers, but did not know he would be receiving the offer so soon after that trip.
"I was surprised," Berry said. "When they told me my heart dropped. I feel like I'm on top of the world."
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Berry has been playing defensive end and wide receiver this season for his Lorain High School team. Last week he said Ohio State was starting to look at him for tight end, but the Buckeyes will not make a call on his position until he arrives on campus next year.
"I'm going in as a big athlete," Berry said. "They like me all over (the field)."
Berry is the Buckeye's third commit from Northeast Ohio in the five days, joining Cleveland Benedictine four-star 2015 linebacker Jerome Baker and Maple Heights three-star 2016 tight end Kierre Hawkins.
